A modern approach

Walker Law is a modern estate planning law firm that offers services virtually via video conference or by telephone. The only required in-person meeting is the final signing of the customized plan.

Meet Anitra Walker

Anitra Walker, an estate planning attorney based in Atlanta, Georgia, specializes in assisting individuals and families across Georgia in crafting comprehensive wills and trusts, including guardianship designations, advance directives for healthcare and durable powers of attorney.  Ms. Walker prioritizes understanding each client’s unique circumstances and personal wishes to ensure their objectives are fully addressed.  With five children of her own, she recognizes the importance of safeguarding her family’s well-being in the event of unforeseen circumstances, aiming to extend that security to every family she assists. 

An alumna of Spelman College for her undergraduate studies, Ms. Walker pursued her legal education at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Walker cherishes spending quality time with her husband and five children, comprising of three girls and two boys.  She finds joy in early morning strolls, beach vacations, listening to true-story podcasts, and indulging in old-school hip-hop music.

Our Process

Consultation

Conducted via telephone or video conference. An opportunity to discuss the overall financial picture as well as review the family tree and relationship dynamics with a discussion of who and what is most important.

Design

Conducted via telephone or video conference.  A further discussion of the asset information in detail while identifying important planning options and design considerations to meet the ultimate goals. A draft of the overall plan is prepared.

Review

Conducted via telephone or video conference. A review of the draft documents is conducted. Additional questions and concerns are addressed along with an opportunity to make any needed changes.

Signing

In-person only. The final plan is prepared and signed. If trust-based planning, an additional meeting to ensure the trust is funded will be conducted.
